RETIA delivers the next Short Range Radar ReVISOR to the Czech Armed Forces

RETIA Company delivered the sixth Short Range Radar ReVISOR to the GBAD Regiment of the Czech Armed Forces. The radar sensor ReVISOR will enhance the air defence capabilities of the Czech Armed Forces. This product was completely developed and manufactured by RETIA. The first Short Range Radar ReVISOR was taken over by the Czech Armed Forces in April 2014. The last two radar systems were successfully delivered in the first half of year 2017.

The ReVISOR operators have expressed the full satisfaction with our product. This is for us a very important reference. Furthermore it is clear proof that high-tech radar systems can be developed and produced by the Czech company. This is kind of an insurance that this country can rely on domestic sources in the strategic areas of armament” said the RETIA commercial director Mr Petr Tichý.

ReVISOR is a basic mean for short range air space reconnaissance in the formation with SHORAD and V-SHORAD weapon systems.

The ReVISOR radars are used by Ground Based Air Defence units as the primary sensors for V-SHORAD weapon systems RBS-70. ReVISOR radars are equipped by C2 module which allows autonomous deployment of small air defence task groups. By using C2 module operator can detect and identify air target and task particular weapon system to engage.

Short Range Radar ReVISOR is fully interoperable with the NATO countries systems. During international exercises ReVISOR has been employed within the NATO countries armed forces in connection with their command and control assets.
